No oven brownie skillet – healthy dessert
No oven healthy brownies that you can made in a pan on the stove top in around 30 minutes. You don't need flour or sugar to make this healthy and satisfying dessert!

What do you do when you crave brownies, but have no oven? Well, you can use a pan and a stove top to make these tasty and healthy brownies that have taken over our life currently!
Okay, we've got a secret that we've been hiding. We don’t have an oven. There.
We moved into this place a while ago and there wasn’t an oven, so we thought – You know what? We don’t know how long we'll stay here, we don’t need an oven. Baking isn’t good for you anyway, so why do it? We will not get an oven and we'll be mostly eating salads anyway.
First thing we notice: we're delusional and we're lying to myself. In what world will we only be eating salads and drinking smoothies? In Delusionland?
Second thing: How will we not go crazy when we're craving some chocolate, this oatmeal isn’t enough and we're too lazy to go out and buy some crappy chocolate food? How will we not go insane?
Well we found out the other day. We had the biggest chocolate cravings and was envisioning brownies everywhere. We went insane and couldn’t come back.
Now for those cases, we know, we said: whenever you crave something that’s not good for you, distract yourself or drink some water. Lots of water. And that usually works. Except when you don’t want it to work and want brownies instead.
So we figured: “You know what? So close to Christmas, why not?”
Then we answered: “Well, because, you don’t have an oven. That’s why. Duh.”
The desperation of that day lead us to a solution. We googled how to make brownie in a skillet, watched this Youtube video, saw the comments that people burned their houses down by making that recipe and decided: “This will totally work.”
Next thing we know, we're in the kitchen melting dark chocolate and mixing the dry ingredients with 2 eggs. We made a healthier version and used stevia instead of sugar and ground oats instead of flour.
Step 1: Add Step 2: Mix Step 3: Cook at low temp
Making brownies on the stove. In a skillet. Healthy brownies. Am we crazy? Yes, we've been talking to myself that whole time. But that’s not the point.. The point is, we took the advice we got from the comments under that Youtube video and let our brownies cook at the lowest temperature. Not medium-high. LOWEST.
30 minutes later these came into the world and changed our day.
Our chocolate cravings were completely satisfied and we made another batch the next day, because the eggs were expiring and we needed more chocolate.
Are these a reliable brownies ever? Probably not, we're not even gonna to lie to you. We have no idea how people make normal brownies. Healthy ones? Healthy ones in a pan? On a stove? Get out of here.
But these, these are good nevertheless. Chocolate cravings satisfied. We're a happy, happy person before Christmas. So if you want to make something healthy and chocolatey, this recipe is a great choice.
We hope you enjoy these brownies if you try them definitely let us know how it goes!

- Yield: 4
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil or butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup oats, ground
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- stevia*
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Method
- Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl - oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon. Add the eggs, vanilla and whisk together until well combined.
- In a pan, on low-medium temperature melt the chocolate with the coconut oil / butter, stirring continuously. When almost all chocolate is melted, add the milk and stir again until you get a smooth, creamy chocolate consistency. Turn off heat for a little bit and stir in the mixture you prepared in the small bowl. Make sure to combine everything very evenly.
- Turn on the heat on lowest, cover the pan with a lid and let the brownies cook.
- They're ready when the top becomes more solid (nothing is liquid anymore) - it took around 25-30 minutes for ours to be ready.
Notes
*for stevia: depending on the type and brand you're using: add the equivalent of 2-3 Tbsp sugar. The amount varies depending on how dark the chocolate you're using is. We used 80% and found 2Tbsp to be enough.
