Workout Motivation! Our motivating music playlist for running and working out! These songs will make exercise way easier!

If you’re lacking workout motivation, you probably haven’t found the right music yet! Today we're sharing our running playlist with the music we like to work out to and it’s so scary, we're basically crapping our pants sitting in the chair we just bought.

Believe it or not, there’s never been an article we've been more afraid to post in our life.

Why?

Because when it comes to music, people get judgemental. Based on your taste in music many people would draw conclusions about your intelligence, your job, hobbies, and lifestyle.

But music is just music. Someone who’s listening to Mozart isn’t a better person than someone who listens to Taylor Swift.

Now, this here is our playlist and if you’re thinking: Wow this playlist is from 2013, you might be right. We do not remember when we made it, but we found it recently on our phone and it motivates the crap out of us to run as fast as we can.

Why we Started Running

Don’t get us wrong, when we say we started running we don’t mean we do it every day. We even skip weeks, but we come back to it and we love it.

So the reason we did it was that we were sick of all the other workouts. We were sick of doing 12 repetitions of everything and we missed simply playing outside as if we're a kid.

We love basketball, we love badminton, but with all of these we depend on other people. We needed something we could do every time when our head was about to explode or we needed an energy boost.

And running became it.

But we didn’t just want to run, we wanted to challenge myself. See how fast we can go. See how far we can go. We wanted to feel free and like we can fly. We know, we sound crazy, but we haven’t felt this good working out in a long time.

Music Helped A Lot

Music made us forget the pain in our legs, the fact that we're sweating, struggling and that we're probably not breathing right.

Well, even if we were doing it wrong, we were still breathing and we were running as fast as we could and it felt so good.

Suddenly our back pain was gone, we felt 10 pounds lighter like a weight had been lifted off us. We felt free and happy.

Without the music, it didn’t feel quite like that. We still felt good, but we struggled more and it just wasn’t the same.

So whatever type of exercise you want to do – running, walking or lifting weights – put on some music and just enjoy the “ride”.

We're telling you, podcasts are great, they will change your life and all, but sometimes all we need to move forward is music.

Our Playlist For Running

So here’s our (pretty short) playlist. And yes, as a young-ish white female these are the only two 2Pac songs we know.

“Hey Ya” – Outkast

“Can’t Hold Us” (feat. Ray Dalton) – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

“Changes” – 2Pac feat. Talent

“Are You Gonna Go Our Way” – Lenny Kravitz

“California Love” – 2Pac feat Dr. Dre

“Sexy And we Know It” – LMFAO

“Crazy In Love” – Beyoncé

And that’s it…we run to this as fast as we can, take some breaks here and there and then music just pushes us to do it again. We hope some of these songs work for your workouts as well!
