Chocolaaaaaaate! A way to Gaical’s heart. If you want us to do anything for you, please make us these chocolate cups first. We will love, appreciate and respect you forever. We will even rub your feet. Even if they’re smelly.
Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeeding yoooou?
Speaking of, remember the kitten We found on the street, adopted and touched only with gloves because we were afraid we will get worms? How can you not? Did you not write about it in your bullet journal? “Highlight of the week: Gaical adopted a kitten.”
We need to stop being so humble. But, seriously, what is a bullet journal?
Anyway, that cat is now big, living in our dad’s yard and it makes us so happy. We don’t know where we were going with this entertaining story. We guess you had to be there.
Show us the chocolate. We've told you before, we're not a huge fan of chocolate and we're dead to you. But in our defense, it’s not cheesecake or cake. However, we have been addicted to these cups for probably 3 months now.
They’re satisfying, they’re rich (and famous) and you can make them with a few ingredients in 10 minutes.
You’ll need some nut butter, any type you like. We've tried these with natural peanut butter, almond butter and are you ready: walnut butter! BAM. We found this local store that offers walnut butter and we're not going back to anything else. Unless they stop offering it of course. Then we'll have to cry for a few days and go beg peanut butter on our knees to take us back. #backtoreality
The other thing you’ll need is chocolate, we used 85%, because we enjoy it. You can use other % of dark chocolate – whatever you like. Just, don’t overdo it with the sugar, we still want to keep this dessert kinda healthy.

- Yield: 6
- Prep: 10 minutes
- Total: 1 hour 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp nut butter
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp honey / maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp flaxseed
- 4 walnut halves, chopped
- 2 Tbsp coconut flakes / coconut flour
Method
- Melt the chocolate. You're welcome to use any other method you like for this, but we found for us a modified water bath is the easiest way. Here's how we did it: we chopped chocolate and put it in a small heat-resistant bowl, then placed the small bowl into a bigger one that is also heat-resistant and has the same height or is higher. Then we boiled water in our electric kettle, poured that water into the bigger bowl, making sure that the bottom of the smaller bowl (where the chocolate is) is covered with water, WITHOUT getting ANY of it into the chocolate/smaller bowl. When you've done that, quickly put a lid to cover the bigger bowl and let it rest like this while mixing the rest of the ingredients. After we were done, there were still some unmelted chocolate pieces so we kept stirring for 1-2 minutes: ready!
- While the chocolate is melting, make the nut-butter mix. In a smaller mixing bowl mix the nut butter, coconut oil (melted), honey / maple syrup until very well combined. Add in the walnuts, coconut flakes and cinnamon.
- Combine the nut mixture with the melted chocolate, until everything is covered with chocolate.
- Spoon mixture into silicone muffin cups (fill them half-way). Or if you don't have muffin cups and form isn't of importance, place parchment paper on a plate and spoon mixture onto it, making different sized and shaped "chocolate cookies". Leave in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and enjoy! These keep very well in the fridge for days.
