Avocado Toast That Tastes Like Pizza?
Saturdays we're lazy and we're not exactly in the mood to eat only healthy stuff. So last Saturday we went for a coffee and a cake. Now you’re like: “Wow, interesting story, tell us more, please!!!”
Fine, we will.
It was a special occasion because it was Saturday. The cake was satisfying, the coffee was okay – it was all worth the calories and the guilt trips.
However. We don’t know what was in that cake and in the coffee, but we had to take a loooooong afternoon nap aka siesta.
That’s Spanish.
When we woke up we decided to try and eat some vegetables. Basically we were trying to trick our mind into thinking that we don’t only eat cake and sleep all day. And we made a big discovery.
This avocado toast.

It tastes like pizza. It was one of the happiest moments in our life.
It’s Simple And Fast
If you’ve read basically any recipe or meal plan here, you’ll notice we mention pizza a lot. Because we're in love with it. It’s pizza. It’s the one thing we miss most when we try to eat healthy. We've tried all kinds of “healthy” pizza versions and they all sucked.

Yes, we're talking about you, cauliflower crust pizza! You suck. Nothing more disappointing than spending around 1.5 hours making something that tastes like somebody’s already digested it a few times. Yes, we mean you, cauliflower crust pizza! And we don’t even consider cauliflower crust pizza healthy. True, it might not have that many calories, and it might be made with cauliflower, but it’s cauliflower that’s been baked until it’s dead. So all the good things that prevent cancer and aging are gone.

Before we make cauliflower crust pizza cry, we must say, fine – you like it, eat it! Better than no pizza. But this avocado toast tastes much like a light and fresh pizza with so much basil…And it’s so much easier and quicker to make.

Avocado Toast For Breakfast
So why do you need this avocado toast:
- It’s actually healthy, because the vegetables we use here are fresh.
- You won’t notice you don’t have any cheese in it
- You’ll wake up in a microsecond from your afternoon nap
- And you’ll only need 5 min to make this healthy recipe.
That’s something worth trying.
Make it for breakfast, or if you want something fast for lunch or even dinner it will do the trick. You get about 2 servings of vegetables right there.
To make this avocado toast gluten-free or paleo, use gluten-free bread or paleo bread. We don’t think it’s going to taste notable as a lettuce wrap, but it might.

And that’s it – everyone’s happy. We hope you like this simple snack/breakfast/dinner/lunch idea and invest a few minutes to make it. You can even have this avocado toast instead of a bag of chips while you’re watching a movie…well we guess now you know how productive we were last Sunday as well.
P.S. Cauliflower crust pizza, we're sorry.
