Avocado Dip

We usually use this avocado dill dip in the traditional way – as food. In extreme and home alone circumstances, we've also tried it as a face mask. Not bad at all.

But as food? It’s solid. The ingredients in this simple avocado dip complement each other in a beautiful way. Avocado adds creaminess, garlic that majestic aroma, dill brings the freshness, lemon – some acidity and salt makes the flavors pop.

What makes it even better is that to prepare it you just pack the ingredients into a nut grinder or a small blender and blend until smooth. It’s SO simple!

Then, if you let the avocado dip do what it does best – perform in a Wrap – you will be amazed. It gives a nice, fresh and flavorful contrast to any cooked meal (like lentils, chicken, fish, chickpeas, potatoes). And of course – you can dip it with a chip or cut-up veggies too!

Healthy Ingredients

Here’s what goes in the avocado dip:

  • Avocado is great for your skin, your hair and your health. It prevents cancer, inflammation and is bursting with antioxidants. The green fat fruit with a huge seed inside, as our mother likes to call avocado, contains Biotin, which is an important vitamin for hair and nail strength.
  • Dill has antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-cancer properties. It contains a lot of iron and calcium, both important for skin health maintenance.
  • Lemon is highly alkalizing and full of vitamin C, which is important for the synthesis of collagen – the protein that holds the skin together and makes it nice and firm. So to summarize it: more lemonizing, less wrinkling.
  • Garlic is not the one you want to mess around with – Garlic fights cancer, viruses, fungi, bacteria, psoriasis, acne, even vampires and lowers blood pressure. It can also make your hair grow and before you know it you’ll look like cousin Itt from the Addams Family (not to be confused with Stephen King’s It – nobody should ever look like that).

And there’s more!

As you see, the ingredients of this dip are pretty great on their own. But bring them 2gether 4eva and they’re even more beneficial for your health.

For example, vitamin C from the lemon increases the absorption of Selenium from the garlic. Selenium is an antioxidant mineral, shown to also prevent cancer.

Further, the combination of vitamin C from lemon with vitamin E from avocado increases the antioxidant properties of both vitamins. This way, evil free radicals have no chance at damaging your skin and overall health.

And now you know why we use this dip in almost every recipe. (And, yes, we have even put it on our face – it’s great.)

How To Use this avocado dill dip:

We're using the avocado dip in wraps, bowls, burritos, tortillas, tacos, carambaaa…and of course for dipping with whatever chip you want. Even if that chip is a slice of cucumber or cut-up peppers or carrots.

These veggie wraps with hummus, avocado sauce and pan-seared vegetables are notable. To enjoy them for dinner or lunch faster throughout…veggie wrapslentil wrapspotato wraps

We have wrapped it in these lentil wraps, served it with these vegan potato burritos, with this sweet potato moussaka, in these Mediterranean chicken wraps, dipped it like a normal person with tortilla chips and last time even put it on some tacos.

It’s pretty great, we hope you enjoy it too!
